Mohammed Siraj and Zanai Bhosle Spark Relationship Rumors, Clears the Air Amid Cricket Controversy and Champions Trophy Concerns

A recent image of India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj with Asha Bhosle's granddaughter Zanai Bhosle gained popularity on social media. Zanai, a young singer known for her expressive voice, shared a collection of photos on Instagram from her 23rd birthday. Amazingly, Siraj was with her in one of the photos. In that particular shot, the pair were seen laughing together. Soon after, the photo appeared on the internet, with several fans speculating that the two were in a relationship. Before the rumors could intensify, Zanai cleared up the relationship between her and Siraj, calling him 'Mere pyaare bhai (my dear brother).' Zanai posted an update on her Instagram story to post the update, tagging Siraj. The speedster also referred again, calling her "behna."

Siraj is currently out of action from the Indian cricket team after a disappointing performance in the Test series against Australia. He has not been selected for India's ongoing limited-overs series against England and the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Former India fast bowler Irfan Pathan voiced concerns over the lack of a substitute pacer in the Champions Trophy-bound squad, suggesting that Siraj could have been included due to Jasprit Bumrah's uncertain fitness status.

It is worth noting, Bumrah, who is currently recovering from injury, is subject to availability for the ICC event. "You need a backup bowler. Siraj could have been a solid choice. In Dubai, playing four spinners isn’t feasible. With Bumrah and Shami making their comeback from injuries, it won't be straightforward for them immediately," he stated at a promotional event, as reported by PTI.

"A pace bowler like Siraj would have fulfilled the requirement”. That said, we hope the selection committee's picks perform well, and we should support them," he added.
