A 22-year-old youth from Maharashtra, Divya Fabhoni, hitchhiked 1,500 km from Mumbai to Prayagraj to take a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh Mela. Traveling through Nagpur and Jabalpur using bikes, scooters, cars, and trucks, he completed his journey with the help of locals. Divya shared his experience on Instagram, praising the kindness and unity of Indians that made his spiritual journey possible.

A young man from Maharashtra hitchhiked his way to the Maha Kumbh Mela to take a holy dip, creating quite a buzz.

The Maha Kumbh Mela has been underway since the 13th of last month in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, attracting millions of devotees from around the world. So far, over 550 million people have taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.

Amidst this, Divya Fafone (22), a young man from Maharashtra, decided to join the Maha Kumbh Mela. With a strong desire to take a holy dip, he set out on his journey by hitchhiking.

Starting from Mumbai on the 12th, Divya carried a board reading “Lift” and began his adventurous trip. He managed to hitch rides on bikes, scooters, cars, and trucks, covering nearly 1,500 km through Nagpur and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

However, he faced a roadblock in Jabalpur, as trucks were not allowed further towards Prayagraj. With the help of local residents, he managed to complete the remaining two days of his journey and finally reached Prayagraj.

Divya shared his incredible experience on Instagram, expressing that “Indians are compassionate people, and this unity is what truly connects the nation.”
