The Kerala Lottery Department conducts six bumper lottery draws annually. In December, the Christmas-New Year Bumper Lottery was introduced for sale. Priced at ₹400 per ticket, a total of 4.5 million tickets were sold.
The draw took place recently in Thiruvananthapuram under the leadership of Kerala Finance Minister Balagopal. The first prize of ₹20 crore was won by ticket number XD 387132, sold in Kannur district. However, the identity of the winner remained unknown.
Yesterday, a man named Sathyan secretly visited a private bank in Iritty, Kannur, and deposited the winning ticket. He specifically requested that his details not be disclosed. Due to his request, the bank officials have refused to reveal his identity.
