Delhi CM Rekha Gupta responds to Atishi’s allegations of BJP breaking election promises. Gupta highlights the approval of Ayushman Bharat Yojana on day one and addresses the ₹2,500 women welfare scheme controversy. Stay updated on Delhi politics and government decisions.

"Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday countered former CM Atishi’s claims that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was 'failing to fulfill election commitments.'
'The Congress held power for 15 years, while the AAP governed for 13.'" Instead of reflecting on their own tenure, how can they question our first day in office? On day one, right after taking the oath, we held a cabinet meeting and approved the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which the AAP had stalled. We provided Delhi residents with a benefit of ₹10 lakhs on our first day,” the chief minister stated, according to ANI.
“They have no authority to question us. Our focus is now on Delhi, and under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Delhi will receive its due rights. They should manage their own party; several members are looking to leave. They’re anxious about the CAG report revealing certain records,” Gupta added.
In a video statement, Atishi claimed, “BJP pledged to pass a scheme granting ₹2,500 to Delhi’s women during its first cabinet meeting. Rekha Gupta and her ministers took oath, and the meeting was held at 7 pm that evening. Women across Delhi anticipated the scheme’s approval. However, on the very first day, BJP broke its promise by not passing it. They’ve resolved to deceive the people of Delhi.”
Rekha Gupta, elected from Shalimar Bagh, was sworn in as Delhi’s fourth woman chief minister on Thursday. Her portfolios include General Administration, Services, Finance, Revenue, Women and Child Development, Land and Building, Information and Public Relations, Vigilance, Administrative Reforms, Planning, and other unassigned departments.
